| Description: | Environmental Educators Course WESSA Western Cape will be offering an Environmental Educators Course from 18 to 22 June this year (2012). The course will be held at the ‘Sustainability Commons’ in the WESSA Western Cape’s office in Kirstenhof. The Environmental Educators course is specifically developed for people who would like to be better educators or environmental education practitioners. On completion of the 5‐day contact session, participants will have two months to complete a ‘Portfolio of Evidence’. The portfolio needs to include contact tutorials and work‐place‐based assignments as evidence to meet the Unit Standards for this course. The submitted work will be assessed and, if successful , participants will achieve 12 National Qualification Framework credits at Level 5. Level 5 equates to first year university standards. The cost of the course is R6300,00 but full and part bursaries are available. If you are applying for a USAID bursary please write a motivation saying who you are, what work you are doing in the environmental field already, how attending the Environmental Educators Course will help you with this work , details of the people who will benefit from your improved capacity in future and the environmental sector or issue that will benefit from your improved capacity (not more than 2 pages). Do not delay. Applications close on Friday 18th May. Owing to space limitations and entrance criteria there will be an applicant screening process. All applicants will be notified of the final selection by 1 June 2012. |
