Just One Day is a song composed by Desert Rose to promote global awareness of the critical nature of Climate Change as the world prepares for COP21. This is the most crucial climate change conference in the history of mankind to be held in Paris, France, in Dec 2015.
The song asks the inhabitants of our planet to start a new consciousness by giving one day of no drilling, feasting, mining, killing and burning of fossil fuels to start a revolution in our thinking towards a carbon free world, towards a world of peace, equality and free of unnecessary wars, killing, abuse and exploitation of our natural resources. Instead to move towards a society of cooperation and care for all living beings as if it is ONE OF US.
The song is arranged to the composition of famous French composer De Bussy’s Clair de Lune and vocals are in French, English and Arabic as a symbol of our Oneness through diversity.
Here are the translated English lyrics from French and Arabic:
One life
One life
one planet
one chance
just one day.
I give you night, I bring you day
I support your life in every way
now all I ask for is just one day
just one day of no driving, no waste
just one day of no burning, no destruction
just one day of no degradation, prejudice or exploitation
How much more can one man own before he is satisfied?
How many fools still go to war while fighting, fighting for more?
The lyrics were written by Lynne Holmes, music composed, arranged and produced by Lynne Holmes, the Arabic translations provided by Dr Adnan Al Adnani from Belgium and vocally interpreted by Yusuf Ganief, the French translations provided by Sister Rani from the Brahma Kumaris France. The lead vocals are sung by Yusuf Ganief and Lynne Holmes.
Please spread the song and its message, and help us stop poverty, inequality and climate change.
