The upcoming SABC Education African EduWeek conference and exhibition will be held at the Gallagher Convention Centre, Midrand from 1-2 July.
“Enter a world of educational knowledge’ is the theme for this year’s conference, which is expected to gather more than 3500 teaching professionals and more than 120 local and international exhibitors. Teachers are invited to attend the free EduTheatre sessions and teacher training workshops – focused on the daily challenges and topical developments that they face in their basic and higher education classrooms, with topics ranging from sex education, to school finance to e-learning and the challenge of teaching maths in schools.”
African EduWeek 2015 is the only all-encompassing education event taking place in South Africa in 2015, and widely regarded as the premier education event on the African continent.
In 2014 the conference underwent a huge transformation, moving away from the conference model of old and taking a key focus on developing the free-to-attend EduWeek expo. Now entering its 9th year, African EduWeek 2015 will showcase over 120 international exhibitors, host free-to-attend education seminars, a new high-level technology conference, as well as technical workshops designed to enhance teacher training and development.
The conference draws together visitors from basic & higher education, government officials, NGOs and NPOs, buyers and resellers of education products and independent education specialists, among many others. Event content, in terms of both the expo and education seminars & workshops, is tailored to meet the needs of individuals and institutions from across the educational spectrum.
To assist visitors in making the most out of their time at EduWeek the event is split into eight sectors:
Co-located is E-Tech Africa, a dedicated technology focused conference that provides the market with first insight into the most advanced technology innovations, and their application into the classrooms of the future.
