These folks have spent months scouring the Cape for the most exciting stallholders and products – think bagels, Indian, sushi and croissants, but also fresh produce, bacon-and-egg rolls, ciabatta, cheese and everything in between.
Every Thursday and Saturday there is a variety of fine foods, drinks and people. You will experience an ancient way of shopping in a modern context at a high quality food market in Cape Town’s City Bowl.
The market is populated by a community of remarkable individuals, all of whom care deeply about the food and drink on offer. Many of the stallholders are themselves producers – people who grow, rear or bake the food that they sell. Their mission is to be a viable and sustainable, independent, quality food market, rooted in the local community.
Opening hours are Thursdays 4.30pm – 8.30pm and Saturdays 9am – 2pm.
