Far South Peninsula Civil Societies with the City of Cape Town are hosting a public recycling exhibition at Fish Hoek Civic Centre on Saturday 22 April 2017 (Earth Day) from 9am to 2pm. Entry will be free.
The aim of the event is to raise awareness of recycling – what can be recycled in the Far South Peninsula, which organisations use which recyclables and how recycling can be income-generating. It’s also about the dangers caused by waste to our environment and the alternative uses of waste.
There will be display stands, a children’s activity corner, quizzes and give-aways.
There will be a rolling programme of films and presentations on the themes of reducing waste and increasing recycling.
