The next Green Collar Workers Forum will take place on Wednesday, 31st October 2012 at the Vineyard Hotel in Newlands, Cape Town. During this event keynote Speaker Andrea Ferry, the Sustainability Manager at Singita, will share how she became a Green Collar Worker. She will also provide insights into this line of work.

There will be plenty of networking! We will also take event participants on an imaginary journey into the future to reflect how you can use your key skills, knowledge and work experience to deal with the challenges and opportunity facing climate change. Our Green Flow Pods will be launched and we will introduce you to our new flow finder, Amelie Guyot. Forum members will have the option to join a flow podthat will be facilitated by Amelie.

Keynote Speaker: Andrea Ferry
Initially qualified as a Chartered Accountant, Andrea spent many years in finance teams in the UK, Australia and eventually back in her native Cape Town. A lucky break landed her a position with a luxury safari lodge company, Singita. Sent to Tanzania for a five month work stint, she fell in love with the bush and the eco-tourism industry. Awakened to the possibility of a greener future, Andrea was drawn to study at the Sustainability Institute at Stellenbosch University, completing her Honours degree in 2011. Andrea currently works at Singita and has taken on the exciting role of Sustainability Coordinator.
