The new year heralds the start of the school year, with many learners having to go to school without stationery. The Miss Earth South Africa (MESA) team is doing their best to help, and they need your support.
For the forthcoming year, MESA have set new boundaries for their stationery drive. Their goal is to touch 10 000 young lives by giving them all the stationery that they need for the new school year.
There are children that go to school without a pencil of their own. In some classes, 40 learners have to share just one pencil! You can help them by supporting this stationery drive. Hopefully it will help the learners go to school with a positive message, and with a pencil set to aid their learning.
Education is the cornerstone of our success
This is MESA’s 5th annual stationery drive. 2011 reached an all-time peak with stationery being distributed to over 4000 learners. This initiative was welcomed with amazing support from corporates and the public at large. MESA were able to reach schools across Gauteng, extending to Limpopo, KZN and Cape Town. This programme aims to ensure that every child across South Africa has their own basic stationery at the start of each year.
Learning thrives in a productive environment, and by educating and greening, and with your help, MESA will be able to accomplish something special.
