The people of Japan are still struggling to recover from the record breaking earthquake and tsunami that hit over there last week Friday. Thousands of people are dead and many more are still missing or injured.
We are very happy to announce that Pick ‘n Pay and ABSA have clubbed together to mobilize support for our brothers and sisters in Japan.
From Friday 18 March 2011, anyone wanting to make donations to the Japanese Red Cross, will be able to do so through the Easypay system at any Pick n Pay till point or at any ABSA branch around the country.
The initiative received a kick-start when Pick ‘n Pay donated stock from its Norwood Hypermarket in Gauteng to the SA Rescue flight, which left for Japan earlier this week.
No bank charges
ABSA will waive any bank charges for customers making contributions by means of cash, credit or debit cards via the Pick n Pay Easypay system, or with cash at any ABSA branch nationwide.
