Our editor, Elma Pollard, won a Merit Award in the annual Eco-Logic Awards by the Enviropaedia. Thank you for the honour. We are excited that so many excellent nominations were received. This means our country’s team of green warriors is expanding year on year and that gives us hope.
We will be featuring all the winners over the next months. Congratulations and gratitude to all of them for caring and not just talking, but walking and working the green path.
The Eco-Logic Awards identify individuals, organisations and communities that positively contribute towards a sustainable world – and encourage consumers to purchase their products and services.
In partnership with SABC3, The Enviropaedia established the Annual Eco-Logic Awards in 2011.
Each year, they invite the public to nominate their Eco-Champions, highlighting how they contribute to an ‘Eco-Logically’ sustainable society and environment. There are 13 environmental categories to enter.
A team of highly respected, environmentally-aware individuals then judge all entries using 7 criteria that are the ‘roots’ of Eco-Logic and selected finalists in each category.
