Protection from the sun and more

Back in October, four lucky Green Times readers received a gift of the 4-1 Sungel SPF24, a handy organic suncreen that we reviewed here.

We also asked our lucky winners for some feedback on their experience with the product. This was their response:

I have managed to get out in the sun only once so far and used the sunblock which I found very effective. It is non-greasy and absorbs well and also has a nice fragrance.

I’m very excited to try the prize I have won. I have been using natural and organic skin products for years and am always interested in what’s new on the market, especially products that are made in South Africa. I like the idea of this product being a ‘four in one.’ It cuts down on the time as well as the number of products you need to apply, and, I’m assuming, on the costs too.

It is a great product. I am using it as a mosquito repellent, it works really well. Smells great. No sticky/oily residue. Well done.

Well the sunscreen is now back up your way, my son is temporarily working on a construction project in Rustenberg and is using it there! As I mentioned to you in an email, the reason that I was so keen to win it was that he had developed an allery to the suncreme he was using and he has a very fair skin. So although I cannot give a personal testimonial, my son said it described it as “good, worked really well, no rash at all, nice consistency.”
