The time has come for a Nation Wide picket to create Awareness of the toxic Side Effects of Monsanto’s herbicide, Roundup.
We want Builders Warehouse to care for the safety of their customers over their profit and have it removed from their store.
As we have seen, Section 17 of the Constitution of our country says that “everyone has the right, peacefully and unarmed, to assemble, to demonstrate, to picket and to present petitions”.
And the Regulation of Gatherings Act says “every person has the right to assemble with other persons and to express his views on any matter freely in public and to enjoy the protection of the State while doing so”.
The effects of the all too common herbicide, Roundup/glyphosate, (made by Monsanto - the creators of DDT, Agent Orange and aspartame), is detrimental to the environment and the health of our fellow people.
Builders Warehouse/Express have been sent hundreds of studies (verifying how lethal it is for humans and the environment), including the latest study by the World Health Organisation, calling it a probable carcinogen (see links at the bottom of the article).
The health department have linked birth defects to its use in the Eastern Cape, in the areas where the Cannabis fields have been sprayed. This and countless other studies relaying its link to Birth defects, Alzheimer’s, autism, antibiotic resistance, allergies and skin problems (all linked to this poisonous chemical), is something that a respectable and trusted supplier should NOT ignore. Yet they choose to keep it on their shelves for mere profits sake.
Our verges, schools, golf courses, farms and homes are using this toxic chemical and it is destroying the water, air and soil not to mention being unsafe for our families.
There ARE natural, safe, solutions and alternatives.
PLEASE help us to have it removed from our beautiful South Africa, and local building shops. Together we CAN make a change.
Join a picket in your city on the 12 December:
The first steps to a cleaner future:
Builders Warehouse and Builders Express are even willing to sell it unsupervised to children after knowing its effects.
