Waste Management Training

The Institute of Waste Management of Southern Africa (IWMSA)’s Western Cape Branch looks forward to hosting a live online Waste Management Training Programme.

The modules have been revised by professionals with extensive knowledge in waste management practices.
The programme provides comprehensive coverage of basic waste management and would be valuable to all individuals responsible for any waste activity within your municipality or company.

The training programme includes daily assignments and a certificate of attendance will be issued.

The course will be conducted via Zoom. All participants are required to have access to a computer and a stable internet connection

Purpose of the course:

The waste management field is ever changing. The IWMSA will be hosting this training to enable municipalities and companies to keep up to date with waste management legislation, policy, approaches, and technologies.

These modules are:

• Introduction to Integrated Waste Management;
• Legal Requirements;
• Waste Management Planning;
• The Responsible Handling of Waste throughout the Material Cycle;
• Different Approaches towards the Rendering of Waste Management Services; and
• Beneficiation Opportunities.

Prerequisite for the course:

Speak, read and write English to NQF Level 4.

The course is aimed at those involved in the waste management industry.
