Mini MBA course Stellenbosch
September 13, 2016 @ 8:30 am - September 15, 2016 @ 4:30 pm
You are cordially invited to attend a Mini-MBA course presented by Concilio Consult in partnership with the Sustainable Development Network 13 – 15 September in Stellenbosch.
Many staff members within NGOs, social enterprises (SEs) and small companies do not have a solid understanding of business principles, strategic planning for sustainability, tax and audit requirements related to income generating activities, institutional arrangements and other considerations that are critical for the NGO and SE success.
It is crucial that non-profits and SEs should be structured properly in order to maintain their financial integrity. This will provide “peace of mind” to donors, investors, and will ensure long term sustainability. Therefore, this workshop sets out to achieve the following:
- Understand how to develop a strategy and ‘business model design’ for your organisation;
- Understand the importance of marketing: what is your strategic edge; how do you develop a marketing strategy;
- Understand the importance of financial management: nature of the firm/organisation; managing cash flow; external capital; project
- valuation; return on investment
- Learn how to coming to grips with operations and people management.
NGO, SMME, small enterprise and private sector staff working in the following departments: finance, fundraising, business development, project management and administrators who want to learn more about business management principles.
