Green Renaissance are a passionate collective of four creatives, on a journey to share positive stories. Everywhere we look, we see a world filled with inspiration. Sometimes it’s capturing a conversation with someone who appreciates the true beauty in the world. Other times it’s meeting interesting people who are inspired by nature. Ordinary people doing extraordinary things. With your help, they hope to share at least one new film each week.
These films are made to inspire. They have no corporate agenda or link to any brand advertising. They can be shared freely.
‘Happiness can’t just be harvested’
‘Food is your medicine’ – these are the words of Joe, who has an amazing food garden in Greyton, South Africa. He has a strong connection to the soil, and is a real inspiration and a wise man.
Here is what Lizzy had to say:
“Your films are so necessary in this day and age. Spacious, meditative, and poignant, they shine a light on those humble corners of our humanity that have seemingly dimmed next the spasmodic neon of modernity.”
Hendrik, the character of this weeks film, has a deep and thought provoking relationship with his goats.
He sums it up best by saying: “If we don’t respect them… the animals are lost, and their loss is our loss.”
It was a real privilege to spend time filming with Hendrik – we walked away from his home with big smiles, happy hearts and a LOT to think about.
Michael and I moved in to a small home (30sm) about three years ago. I remember how daunting it felt – the idea of downscaling all that we owned to fit into this small space. But I remember even more vividly, how liberating it felt to get rid of the clutter and keep only those things that were important to us. Garth and Emma, featured in this weeks film, share their journey of what it has been like to share a small space together.
Warren is a real inspiration – sharing his views on patience and time.
Tony takes a refreshingly minimalist approach to life, and is happy and content with those few possessions that he owns, needing for nothing else.
Let’s help keep the inspiration coming
Green Renaissance want to share stories that touch your heart. And at the same time, they want these films to look and sound amazing as well. Part of the funding will go towards maintaining their top quality camera gear and edit studio. The rest helps them cover costs incurred throughout the filming process – from research and travel, to colour grading and sound mixing.
